          It was the hour of dawn when Cutch mounted his horse in the courtyard of Torech Besruth, his hunting gear packed on the saddle and harness, a green cloak covering his hunting clothes.  There at his stirrup stood Seregrían, looking up at him with a pleased gleam in her eyes.

Sword-cirth - verses from the Lay of Leithian

These cirth appear along either side of the sword forged by Tavelorn Silverbranch for his protegé, Gannelion Glinnelluin, giving the verses of the Lay of Leithian he sang at its forging to make it more potent in defiance of the Shadow:

Foredawn, in the Old Forest; an eerie mist hovers on the pool's surface, the scarce light that seeps through the thick foliage plays tricks with the shapes, the colours; even the sounds, of the forest.

Conceptual

No much lore is given about the men of the woods, those living in the Mirkwood and not of Beorn's heritage. In the project The Free People of Rhovanion was decided that names recalling old (Elder Futharc) runes would be appropriated.

The use of runes is very much interesting and intriguing, and can lead to many inspirational things.
