The companions from Bancross are getting closer to their destination as they enter Dale. From a small party at the journeys start, they have grown into a large caravan with many dwarrows escorting them.

The merry fellowship of dwarves and men journey ever on towards Dale and Erebor, with the hopes and promises of riches and fortune for their people growing ever closer in their hearts. In Lake-town they are accompanied by a curious holbytla, who follows the company to Dale.

The merry fellowship of dwarves and men arrive in Lake-town after a long and ardous journey through Mirkwood, and they quickly find themselves in the local tavern where several rounds of beer, cheer and tales go around the table.

((This text, authored by an unknown scribe in Dale during the early Fourth Age, concerns a strange Dalish custom.  For those unfamiliar with the tale of Old Farmer Jack and the Boggart, it is suggested that they first seek out the story in some form.  The version set down here may serve as an adequate example, though any passing Dale-lander will almost certainly be willing to explain and perhaps even demonstrate the custom, if asked.))
