Each of Meadred's children grew to be different from the other. Not all having yet fully come of age, yet those who have - have shown a strong desire in their hearts to pursue what they wished. Even some going against the will of their parents, both parents and children giving each other a hard time in their growing up. But are things like these not what builds character and bonds: Being able to bear with another even when they are not all that you would wish them to be? Indeed, from a perspective it is. And Meadred's children are undoubtedly good examples of this. They did not always get along with one another, and there were times when they stood true and by each other's side against great plights, and then they would find that together they could overcome greater obstacles once they have set aside all their differences, and silly disagreements - and they had plenty of those.
Their young lives were quite safe in the Town of Grimslade. And there were little troubles, and they were unspoilt by their parents, for their parents did not have overmuch to give them, but they did give them what was most necessary: Food, clothes, love, and most of all the house in which they lived. Meadred had a policy that he had with all of his kids, and this was a policy that he wrought of the love for them, even when they would have differences.
"My sons and daughters. I would have you know that this home that you live in now will ever remain to be your home. Even should you find your own path and live parted from us; should an ill plight befall upon you, you may come and go as you wish, our doors will never be closed to you. This is the gift that your mother and I give to you."
And upon this Meadred would always hold his word, and willed that should he and his wife pass that the house will be a given to his children, that may go there when in need. Yet such a place would have need for caring to when there are none to live there. That is why the home would be given to Meadwine, their firstborn to live in.

Meadred himself was a proud Rider of the Riddermark, and his love for battle was inherited by both Meadwine and Meadowyn, and two hardy soldiers they became. Adorned with red cloaks and brooches of rank upon their breast. Of the deeds of Meadred's children the most were wrought by Meadwine and Meadowyn, who were capable of great deeds in one another's presence.
Of all of Meadred's children; the family had a great love for wearing casual circlets on their heads to secure their hair, all of them. They all seemed to enjoy the appearance of them, and wore them well. There is no doubt that Meadred's family were a beautiful lot, especially his two youngest daughters, Méowlfré and Fréowéna. They were the two beauties of the family, and more often than the others caught the eyes of admirers. For their mother brought them about to be skillful in the ways of a wiving, and so they became. Not only a delight to gaze upon, but also skilled with household chores such as washing, cooking, cleaning, and tending to the basic wants and needs of a family.
