Chronicle Summary

A ledger of survival, discovery, and the pursuit of forgotten truths. From the muck and mystery of the marshes to the looming shadows of the Misty Mountains, a fellowship of oddly paired heroes commits to fighting a fight that they know is beyond them, seeking answers, hoping to protect those they love, and some, even keen to find treasure along the way.

Chronicle Content

They were not meant to be saviours, nor chosen for any great purpose. They were travellers, traders, soldiers, and wanderers who found themselves drawn together by chance and necessity. What began as a simple contract to escort a dwarf peddler on an ill-concieved treasure hunt into the midgewater marshes, became something far greater, as now they are caught in a danger none of them were prepared to face.

The threat is old and more patient than any single enemy, and its reach stretches across Eriador and perhaps beyond it. Each step forward binds them tighter to the mystery, and each choice carries them closer to their destruction.

They go on not because they are heroes, but because turning back no longer feels possible. They're not the ones to stop this danger... but that won't stop them from trying anyway.

OOC: Where Webs Whisper is a long-form roleplay campaign set in the wild lands east of Bree, during a time when the roads are no longer as safe as an ancient threat is emerging.

Features members of the Company of the East Road kinship.

The absolute beginnings of the tale are here: https://laurelinarchives.org/node/65416 and continue under the Chronicle 'Muck and Mystery in the Marsh' (consider it Chapter 1), before coming under the 'Where Webs Whisper' chronicle entirely.
