| Outward Appearance | This elf of is of indeterminate age, tall and broad-shouldered with sandy, ash-brown hair and sea-grey eyes. By habit, he wears elvish apparel of various subtle hues – spruce green, sea blue, twilit indigo and Sindarin grey. A brooch at his shoulder shows four beech leaves set on a field of stars, delcaring his ancient and distinguished Lindarin heritage.
In these troubled times, Tavelorn goes armed with a slender sword but his greater power lies in his voice and skill upon the harp. He speaks with a low, mellow tone inflected with the accents of elvish speech. His Sindarin is colloquial rather than scholarly and employs many quaint words and turns of phrase. His demeanor is generally one of quiet good humor. |

Background
Tavelorn was born, one of a pair of twin brothers, in the valley of the Lune in eastern Lindon, late in the Second Age during the captivity of Sauron in Westernesse. His sire fell in the War of the Last Alliance. His mother has but recently passed into the West over the sea to Eldamar. On his father's side, he can claim direct descent from Lenwë, through Daintáro (in the Sindarin of Doriath called Denethor) his son, but claims no lordship or high station on account of this.
From his mother, Tavelorn learned of his Lindarin heritage and embraced his people's love of song as his calling and music has become his greatest gift, through which his nature as one of the Eldar is expressed in the world. For the present, he is content to remain in Middle Earth, for he is yet in love with its rivers and streams, particularly the Lune where he was raised and where he still makes his home upon its forested shore at Brethilimbar, called Birkenhall in the Westron tongue.
"Silverbranch" is the Westron rendering of Tavelorn's "deed-name", Celebolf. The story of how he acquired it has not yet been told. In formal affairs, he will also use his familial or hertiage name, Daintarion, "scion of Denethor", in recognition of his lineage.
