He surveyed the town, a burnt shell of it’s former self, and he concluded that had it not been for the Company, Trestlebridge would have been all but destroyed entirely. He had stayed behind to ensure the security of the town until more forces from the Bree-town watch would arrive and he had the unenviable duty to bury the dead of his enemies.
It was insane. Chaotic.
The very air around was acrid.
Though with all the chaos, death and destruction around, somehow, Daphne was still fine. Everyone was still alive and so far, she'd managed to keep Furley from injury. Or, at least...he wasn't injured yet. It may not have had anything to do with her.
Battle, the clanging of metal, the cries of rage around her and the battle cry's of friend and foe alike. Her ears rang as she moved to tackle a small goblin that had been unfortunate enough to cross her path as others ran past her. Her sense of smell burned with blood of goblin while her companions tore apart the area around her. The twang of an arrow. The sight of a friend. Ithilwe moved past her, keeping his distance as she dispatched her own foe nearbye.
The cacophony of battle rang throughout the ruins of Minas Eriol. The clattering of mail and weaponry and the yells and shouts of both man, elf, and dwarf alerted the goblin occupying force that they had been given a notice of eviction. The vanguard force led by Commander Altheric and the stalwart dwarf Sergeant Kildwin flushed violently into the heavily populated entrance that the Beastmaster Aranoll revealed to them.
