A horror befell the Shire last weekend when half of it voted Xobin for May King in order to facilitate free pie for themselves!

It mightn't have been as awful, but they made me the accompanying Queen!

HOW? AND WHAT'S MORE, WHY? Now I must put up with him.

Tis only a year, I tell myself... It'll go by in a blur.

It feels good to get off my feet after a long day's walk! The dwellings since we left Bree seem to be getting more and more broken-down - the next place we stop will probably be little more than the outline of a room - but at least our tents are holding up!

Our new friends warned us that the forest was dangerous, and offered to guide us though. Funny though, I didn't see any of the trolls or bears they told us about! Guess we got lucky!

We *think* Dobb got up early to scout ahead while the rest of us did normal things like wake up and find breakfast...hey, did he leave the map with anyone? These kind tall folk brought us to safety and we shared a meal with them!
