Below is a brief musing on the second Sack of Doriath, a disturbing event from Aduialant's youth. She prefers to never speak of it, but composing poetry is oft a method of catharsis for the lady.
Parnard finally gets the opportunity to speak with Estarfin about his prospective father-in-law. Danel stands back to allow the neri space to speak uninterrupted, but she listens. Much is explained by the wood-elf, including something he has told no other. And by the end of the evening, a plan is agreed.
Author's note: This relates to background information rather than ingame events, and takes place partially in dreams. Narrators may be less reliable than they appear in the mirror. Not suitable for consumption by those who adhere to an extremely conservative interpretation of Tolkien's lore.
Content note: Contains oblique references to topics that some may find distressing.
Estarfin prefers to be out under the sky and stars, than in the caverns of Felegoth. Danel takes him to a vantage point, where they look over the Emyn-nu-Fuin, and recall a little of its past. She suggests a small 'quest' to assist Thranduil's folk, and possibly give Estarfin something to think on.
Danel's plan appears to involve a visit to the halls of King Thranduil. Estarfin says little to start with, and she is the one who speaks with the guards they encounter. At least there are none of the Race of Men in Felegoth, or Northern Mirkwood, it seems.
