On the third day of their journey the rain has grown weaker.

The company, leaving the great east-west road, passes a deserted village.

The second day of the journey proves difficult.

Some travel by foot, others on horseback.

A heavy rain slows their progression, filling the forest with a stifling pressure.

The company has chosen.

Gear, supplies, baggage is ready.

The path is known.

Telling the company about the dire situation within the Woodland Realm, Loegenel asks them for aid.

One of six messengers sent to the south, having volunteered for a dangerous mission, he is so far the only one who has arrived at the Malledhrim outposts. Three messengers are reported dead, two are still missing.

The company, having arrived safely to Ost Galadh, is joined by Loegenel again.

The scout discovers that his secret agreement with Turumor is no secret any more.

Having finally escaped the Drownholt, the company rests at a Malledhrim camp, not far from Ost Galadh. Loegenel has fulfilled his task, leading them through the swamp, scouting and establishing a new path for supplies in behalf of the Malledhrim. Merenell has left little signs and markers on trees and bushes, noticeable by elven eyes only. The Golden Host has thus received aid...

The company, led by Loegenel takes a rest within Drownholt, the vast swamp of southern Mirkwood.

Around Dol Guldur, there are many perilous places, and many dangerous areas.

But to enter the Drownholt even the Orks loath.

A vast swamp, reaching for many miles from Amon Angened unto the southern slopes of the Tower of Dark Sorcery.

The secret passage leads to the other side. Through the gigantic roots of an old tree, they exit the narrow darkness, breathing humid evening air.

They have entered the Drownholt by now.
