Visiting them Elves

We were greeted by two tall, stern faced Elves. They weren't that welcoming ter be honest, no tea or cake, but neither did they ignore us, or tell us ter go away. It was a serious matter right enough, fer them as well as us.

I ask them if we can speak ter High Lord Parnard, Lord Estarfin or Lady Danel, but they say them are not there at the moment. Then, rightly or wrongly Lithea tells them about Henepa and Gaisarix being taken by brigands, and the Elves look meaningfully at each other.

Waiting on a Decision

There are still a few Dourhands standing at Kheledul, but they won't be once Estarfin gets to them.

Yrill and Ceuro have slain many, but none could or would tell them what they want to know.

A Direction at Last.

At last we were moving to find Lady Danel and Parnard. Since the start, Lord Estarfin had believed Captain Culufinnel had them hidden away somewhere, and had focused on him. It had never seemed the most likely of options to me, and now I had found evidence that Parnard had travelled close to the river...his new cloak caught on some rocks.

Captain Culufinnel was away, seeking his horse and to travel up-river. Lord Estarfin had never dismounted.

Yrill and Ceuro steady Barahirn as he takes his first steps outside. He is weak on his legs still, but the bones have healed well. Filignil supervises.

A Cure for the Poison

Story

Instinctively I turned my betrothal ring on my index finger, finding comfort in the action. My fingertips traced the design, the diamond stars embedded in the pattern of the Calarcirya, to ‘watch over us, always,’ Estarfin had said. I smiled at the memory.

Midsummer Ready

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Midsummer was quickly approaching, and to Parnard’s surprise, Danel and Estarfin expected a huge feast, complete with dancing on the grass, despite the attack on Númenstaya and the killing of Aearlinn. He wondered secretly at this, but made no remark or protest, reminding himself that since it is a high feast day, a day set apart as one of the most hallowed days of the Elven calendar, the Noldor would not permit anything to disrupt their celebration, least of all a group of murdering, bloodthirsty, pillaging men.

Building Defences

Estarfin is determined to fortify Numenstaya against attack. He speaks with the others of his plans. To start with he wants a deep ditch dug out, and Danel and Ceuro both take up spades. Parnard encourages verbally.

Of Visitors: Yrill

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

The final visitor of that day arrived after sunset. The clear sky was ablaze with the glory of Tintalle’s creations as she rode into Numenstaya, set about stabling her mare, and found us all in the Great Hall.

Healer

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

I tell others I am a little old village healer. It is true. I am quite short for a son of the Noldor, I am older than most now, one born in the First Age, I have lived through a lot of sorrow. Sometimes I feel the weight of the years upon me and speak with my wife Alimiel about taking ship. Our son and his family, and our youngest daughter and her family are already in the Undying Lands. Our eldest daughter remains.
