Another Wrecked Room?

The second set of images I have happened some few years later. It was after Dol Guldur, after I had left Imladris to attend my injured Grandmother at the coast. It was after we had sought each other out again, and indeed, finally understood that we wanted to be together. It was at Numenstaya, the home and sanctuary we were building, with aid from some others.

Was it actually a wrecking or merely an 'accident'. Whatever it was, I was again unintentionally the cause. Or perhaps it was 'we'?

Another Guest; Another Problem.

Story

It was late afternoon when Gaerion, Captain of the Uinenlindë, arrived at Numenstaya. An old friend of my family in Valinor, he had come to Endor with the Host of the Valar, Vanya, and Valinorian Noldor. Unlike the vast majority of his Teler kinsfolk, he had set foot on the shore, participated in the battles, and remained. He had been tasked to bring back certain folk, if they were alive, and so willed.

“Mae govannen,” the newcomer said. The healer was garbed in a long stone coloured robe, not his official wear, but likely what he was wearing when the message arrived. The front of his long, brown hair was lank and wet from where the hood had not covered him. But his warm, blue-grey eyes were bright and keen. He would help.

“Mae govannen, my friend. You know all others in this room, I believe?” I reached over to take his hand for a moment. Estarfin and Belegos greeted him, inclining their heads as both stood to show respect to another old Noldo.

There is something the Matter with Parnard.

"There is something wrong with Parnard," I said, trying to make light conversation over a matter I was increasingly concerned about.

Finding our Feet again.

Filignil spreads the News

With Parnard away to take a bath, and Estarfin and Danel asleep in the chairs by the fire, Filignil heads out to spread the welcome news of their return to others in Numenstaya.

We turned into the grounds of Númenstáya to a call from above, a hail from Filignil at her lookout point. “Oh, welcome, welcome back!” she cried, then lowering her bow, turned to run along the ridge to meet us. The sky was at that beautiful point just before dawn, when the eastern edges of our view, over the houses and further hills, were outlined with a pale rose-gold glow.

Some hesitation

Filignil is eager to hear all of what transpired, but mindful of Yrill's long journey suggests she bathe and rest first. There is nothing either of them can do immediately.

Yrill wants to talk, not rest. She explains that she has already visited the Guards in Celondim, bringing them orders from Captain Culufinnel. She will rest when all three of their folk are home, and not sooner.

"You will go out after them again?" asks Filignil.

Yrill returns Home

They were all so glad to have Yrill back with them, and to know she was unharmed. Her news, that Danel had been rescued, was also most welcome.

"What about the High Lord?" Fearane asked.

When will they Return.

It had been almost two weeks since Yrill had returned to Numenstaya, having first visited the Guards in Celondim with message from their Captain. Not a long time at all, but since first she knew Danel was safe, and Parnard was being searched for, Filignil had made sure she was on Watch Duty at least once a day. Others of the household had said they could easily take over her duty, as she had so many more daily tasks to be about. But no.
