Dearest Gwanûr,

The news you sent in your letter greatly surprised me! I would not have left so far from home, indeed, if I knew that I could obtain a position as a courier so close to home. Who learned of it, you or Ada? Whoever it was, I am extremely grateful and I will hurry back west to begin. I think it will take me some time still for me to pack all my things and return.

Vorongwe places the nest securely on the well cover, using whatever moss and lichen he can find to make it more presentable and secure.

"Be careful, hir Vorongwe. That is mighty high for one with no wings," Aurineth called out.

"Had the scholars at Thargelion been tardy, they would have soon found themselves in one of the northern forts," Danel whispered to him.

Parnard nodded, unable to reply, because the small group of elves was staring at him. The coolness of the morning air was faded; there was no time to spare.

A Second Letter to Lord Ambassador Parnard

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

To the Lord Ambassador of Bar-en-Vanimar Parnard,

It is with a heavy heart that I write this letter to you. When your lordship left for the Hithaeglir, little did I know that my duty would require me to bear sad tidings to you through my letters. I had one in progress since the last report I sent, and it consisted of all important matters, such as the latest speculations of the valley folk and the tale of an escaped chicken from the kitchens, but the contents of that report matter very little now.

"... but we were wondering if you could assist us."

After becoming separated by a vicious storm on the Hithaeglir, Tinurendis and Barangolf are reunited in Imladris and discuss the unknown fate of their fellow travel companions. While sharing their experiences in the Hall of Fire, they overhear a group of Elves expressing concern over a shared problem: goblins in the mountains. The two approach the stranger Elves and seek their aid.

"Well, Sogadan,” said the Lord Ambassador. “What do you think I have inside this box?”

“Your coin to pay off your wine bill, I hope! You have let it run up again."
