Journey

The long road home VII: The darkest night.

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

How long has it been? How long was this dark of night filled with violence, with fire and ash and stone, stone, stone? How many times have I tried to sleep watching a granite ceiling, knowing that there is no starlit sky to be seen for miles on end. How many times have I steeled myself, feeling the weight of the ancient stones pressing down as I walk the dark corridors with yet another evil foe waiting around yet another corner?

As I write this, the team is taking a rest within the cave. Someplace forgotten, an old ruin built at the inner of a tall rock. The reasons I shall explain further, should time and safety allow me. Not that I consider anywhere in the Lone-lands safe, a mere form of speech.

The long road home III: Memories of Mirnel

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

After aiding the proprietor of the Forsaken Inn tracking down a shipment that had been overrun by goblins, the last days have been quite uneventful - but still beautiful and somber in their own right. I made my way through the Lone-lands and into the Trollshaws without too much excitement. Walking along the Trollshaws road with it's eternal fall-trees on both sides, yellow leaves swirling past me, my mind begun to wander. The memory once more arose.

'Carry these charts to the Lord Anglachelm of the Bar en Vanimar in Imladris. I gift them to him in memory of times past. May they be of use to him.'

So it was I took ship up-river to Celondim under the brilliant light of Ithil, after whom I am named, and set out on the first stage of my journey East.
