The long road home V: Reclaiming Hollin

My heart lept as I learned that there are forces of good at work in Mirkwood. I know I was expected for the Hûd i Eledhrim but I could linger in Imladris no longer - the road called for me!

I have now made my way to Eregion, this vast land that feels so oddly familiar. It was once home to my kin, to the Gódhellim, but now naught but ruins remain - or so I was told. As I made my way on the halv-orc infested path, I met with a young elf that was on a scouting mission. Turns out there are several elven camps scattered over the land! Even though the darkness still lingers, there is opposition! Suddenly, I could see the wonder in these lands again - the beauty of the holly trees; the open fields; the intricate, ancient structures, fallen as they may be. It shan't belong to the horrors of the orcs!

I have decided to stay here for a short while. They tell me there is work to be done, and I shall do what I can to help these heroic beacons in the darkness!

These words come from the woods of Lothlórien, and they never rang more true than in these times: 'The world is indeed full of peril and in it there are many dark places. But still there is much that is fair. And though in all lands, love is now mingled with grief, it still grows, perhaps, the greater.”
