Fiontann decided to stop off at Trestlebridge, to allow both The Black Steel and their horses to rest, before they head out to Fornost. Everyone stepped up to the fountain to cool themselves down, as the midday got quite hot. Then they decided to go have lunch, sitting away in the trees, so that the townsfolks wouldn't stare so much.

After the events of the night before, everyone gathered just before dawn to set out to ride to Fornost, to find the Bracelet of Hope and stop the Angmarim from finding it themselves. After Annúminas was abandoned, Fornost Erain became the capital of Arnor and then Arthedain after the split. The name itself means "Northern Fortress of the Kings." It was destroyed in 1974 of the Third Age during the war against Angmar, leaving the city a mass ruin. In the language of men it was known as Norbury with the nickname Deadman's Dike as it was believed to be haunted and avoided at all costs. Only the Rangers of the North were ever seen entering the city and none knew of what they did within.

He held the reins of his loyal steed as he entered the ruined gate of the settlement and kept going on. The two men on watch noticed that he was panting and approached him at once, one took the reins and the other spoke.

"I haven't got enough time for writing up my thoughts. We have reached Fornost and will leave again soon. I partially trust the hobbit now, but that is all I can do since all of those questions. They are too much for me. I hope that she will understand it soon. Let us leave this forsaken place..."
