The air is thick. Tall are the trees, but frail and sickly. Their branches reach high, but a smothering darkness has almost wholly prevailed over the very life itself.

The company of elves is traveling in several small groups, trying to stay low-profile, moving by stealth through the forest.

It has been two days and well into noon, by now. Despite so, this did not trouble Nenusidh, perhaps it was one of the reasons why he had to set out so quickly, which was the journey will be a while in itself. He has made way into the steep hills of Nan Amlug, the area where the forest breaks into hill and deep valleys.

Atop a tall and mighty oak
A little squirrel lies
Amongst the green and tender leaves
It looks out at the sky

But short the rest the squirrel takes
For food is on its mind
Soon scurrying along the branch
Some nuts it longs to find

The mighty oak has come to fruit
And acorns fill its twigs
The squirrel leaps from branch to branch
It does a nutty jig!
