Mysterious Disappearance Of Trees
Our correspondent from Dunland report that many of the local tribes are experiencing rapid increase in deforestation . The result is the highest rate of deforestation in the region.
Dramatic accounts tell of the astonishing extent of forest destruction in Nan Curunír - and also that the area known as The Pristine Glade is one of the last remaining patches of forest left. Trees are essential to physical and cultural survival. The Hill-Men of Dunland depend on the forest for their survival and have protected it over thousands of years.
"We are constantly under pressure - Orc and crabans from Isngard are scouting our land for trees. We have no peace. And now even our sacred grove, The Pristine Glade, is under threat. We must defend our trees from this approaching danger. For how much longer will our cry for help go unheard ? With the world's highest rate of deforestation by the hands of the White Wizard, the Dunlendings won't last forever: with the destruction of the trees, my tribe...my people will be obliterated."
