History of Hawthorn

Dear son, and all children of my children. I leave a heavy burden on your shoulders. Our family has been gifted with the great honour to protect Haynbury and our Auburn Halls within it. After many adventures I had returned with riches I earned on my travels. I bought land in the south-east corner of the lands around Bree, and gathered crafters and other free people of middle earth to build their homes and farms upon it.

It was year 2655 of the third age when we finished the Auburn Halls, and built the fountain at the village square. My dear wife named the village, 'Haynbury'.

Haynbury grew and I treated all villagers as my own children, and enjoyed the children of my children, our family is here to protect and serve Hanybury and its villagers. We are lions that will defend our weak, and with a strong hand offer them a place to live peacefully, generation after generation. In these hard times, I fear more trouble will come, I have founded a guard, existing out of skilled men at arms and hunters. Finaly I leave this green garnet ring, made by myself, to be the simbol of our family, Lions of Haynbury, protectors of the Halls.
