I fear for my niece.

We cannot take two steps without her witnessing or being part of something potentially life-threatening.

We recieved an anonymous tip-off regarding the location of a new bandit hideout, recommending the most experienced of our order

With Kerl in Jail, it was up to me to locate the new Bandit headquarters, and I grabbed the closest comrade I could find.

In Hindsight, I should have grabbed the Second closest.  Robynwen wasn't ready.

All sorts of people pass through the Prancing Pony.

Twas just blind luck that brought Damric Sarrell into the tavern at the same time as a young girl called Robynwen Alden.

Daughter of Damlan.

Damric was never father material, and neither, it seems, was Damlan, who had abandoned the girl at birth.  Of course, it would be difficult to blame her father as he had only been sixteen years of age at her birth, Still a child himself.  He was frightened, and left the child in good hands; those of her mother and grandparents.

Fate is cruel to these two brothers, it seems.  they were not reunited for more than three days before they were brutally ripped apart once again.

This time for good.

West of Duillond, there is a road that leads all the way to the Misty Mountains.

But the brothers weren't going that far.

The road goes through the Shire and into Bree-land, before going directly through the West Gate of Bree-town, in which the brothers were going to settle down.

But fate is cruel to these two brothers.

And so it ends.

The younger brother rides into Celondim.

The younger brother watches as Damlan boards a ship, embracing an elf, as if the elf was his father, but the brother knows it is not so.  Damlans father lies in a grave near Edunas.

He calls out, and both elf and man turn to him.

Shock appears on Damlans face, and he leaps from the boat into the water, closely followed by the Elf.  The sails are lowered and the boat stops, waiting for its passengers to return.

Story

The young man leaves Archet, journeying to Bree-town.  He has spent five years in that town, looking for clues which may point him on the right path.  All travelers in that area of the world pass through Bree-town.  'tis an infamous town because of it.   The people who pass through are not all of the sort you would sup with, and the young man knows this.

It has been ten years since the brothers left Edunas, The youngest thinks, as he arrives at Archet, slipping through the gates late at night, covered in dark clothing from head to toe.  He has lived like this ever since setting out, moving under the cover of night, hiding his face.  It is perhaps due to the people he has had to ally himself with over the years to survive; he has fallen further and further behind Damlan in his journey and now may have lost his trail altogether.  He can find no tracks past Archet, so in Archet he will stay.

Story

A thirteen year old boy walks alone in the Riddermark, the wind tearing across the unsheltered landscape to rip the hood down from his head, revealing those cold eyes, those eyes which have seen things no child should ever have to see.  There is no emotion in that face, the blank look of indifference a clear mirror of the soul.  The boy cares little for anything now, not after everything was taken from him.  of course,  there is...was... friends in Edunas, and family.
