It Wasn't Me!

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Poetry

It wasn't me who ate the cake
Coincidence my belly aches
I surely didn't lick the cream
I say it's not all as it seems

It wasn't me who ate the pie
Would you believe I'd ever lie?
And as for eating up that stew
There's still enough there left for you!

It wasn't me who spilt the beer
It's chance my empty mug is near
The floor it may be stained a bit
Just put the rug on top of it

A Poem in honour of Feet

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Poetry

Now when you stroll and walk around
Just pause and ponder at the ground
And give a thought to both your feet
They're more than bits of hairy meat

Your feet will take your everywhere
Far from the comfort of your chair
You'll walk across the countryside
And out the bounds, and far and wide

They feel the touch of tender grass
Of well-tilled earth and country paths
They wade in streams as water flows
You feel the rush between your toes

Yule looked at the bright star shining to the North in the early evening sky . Byco stood next to her in silence for a long moment, not wanting to interrupt her thoughts. As she moved, he followed. They walked in silence along the road to the west, leaving Bywater and the Green Dragon Inn behind. Her delicate feet still trying to get used to the ways of the hobbits. She paused to gaze upwards at the many stars enjoying the fresh night breeze blowing gently in her hair.

The Ballad of Ned and Rose

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Poetry

PART 1

Now here's a tale from history
About two hobbits trapped in Bree
With little food to bake upon their fire
And so they both resolved one day
To head out West; to get away
To leave the town and go to find The Shire

The hobbit lad, whose name was Ned
He knew a long path lay ahead
He said he first would travel there alone
His wife, called Rose, would stay in Bree
And sit there waiting patiently
As Ned set off to find them both a home

Chapter III - There is more to minding sheep

I am reluctant to write anything down formally, but for now I must throw that caution to the wind for there are more pressing matters to attend to. With those two letters safely delivered I trust the recipients will be free from immediate harm. This is an ill business and something troubles me greatly.

Chapter II – A brace of Woodchuck

Chapter II - A brace of woodchuck

We've taken up a suitable place on the hill overlooking the village. We have little need for the comforts of the small burrow but one of the locals has given us free reign on his land which was most welcome. I understand he has some connections up at the Hall, a fine tailor by all accounts. From there we can watch the gate and the surrounds and as far back as the Hall which can be clearly seen even on the dullest of mornings.
