Wanderings: Talking the Night Away.

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

(This story continues from  Return to Cuivienan )

We sat under the stars awhile, drinking in the light of their memories. After some time Estarfin moved seemingly absent mindedly to tighten the straps on his pauldron. Our converse on Cuivienan finished for the moment, my thoughts had moved on to another matter.

All was madness. Borlas had just cut down another huge wolf, although Bortheth had fallen to its slavering jaws. The dead lay heavy underfoot, and he struggled to keep his balance. Men, Elves, orcs and wolves lay mingled together, covering the dusty plains and turning the ash into slick mud with their blood. He had seen nightmares through gaps in the battle, enormous shapes of fire and smoke that emanated fear, even from a distance.

He awoke early after a night of little sleep, and strange dreams. The memories of them were only vague in the pale morning light, becoming as intangible as the early morning mist as he tried to recall the details of them. Though Gondolin is free of trouble, I cannot say I am not worried about the rest of my family. I wonder how they are, and if they are alright.

Anfauglith started shaking as thousands of warriors marched. The dust clouds which covered their view started to clear away, as if it fled from the army of Himring. So, Sons of Fëanor could see the battlefield clearly, but their army had become visible to friend and foe alike, for their banners were high, their numbers great and trampling of their feet raised the sands of Anfaughlith, clearly showing the direction of the army.
