Ranger

Through the eyes of a Ranger: battle by the river

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

Each day I feel like I'm closer to leaving this world but each time something keeps me from falling and instead I lie injured for awhile.
I am tired of this pain but I have no choice but to continue, for the Free People.

After the last attack on the Angle we laid traps to prepare since if they have found us once then there is no mistake they will find us again and sadly we were right.

The Shadow Walkers: There And Back Again

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

After Katrandil was mostly healthy, our three friends made their way out of Forochel and went back to Evendim. They camped in Parth Aduial, in the High King's Crossing, where some other rangers had also camped.

[This is also where Ornessar saw The Unpleasant Dream. More about it can be found in http://laurelinarchives.org/node/39111]

New Journal, Entry Ten - The New Captain

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

The morning begun bitterly after the ashen victory we had won a few days past.

The lonesome wanderer

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

As he reaches the top of the hill, Dinenor glances down to the dell in front of him, smiling happily. ‚Arnor. For far too long have I been gone. But now I am back, beloved home.‘ The ranger looks up to the sky where the sun stands low far in the west; darkness is falling, tarnishing the silhouette of Emyn Uial in the distant south. He puts his gear and weapons down and glances around.

Through the eyes of a Ranger: Conflict

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

It has been long since I've been able to take up this book and write and still I'm hesitant of writing

Some time has passed since it happened but I cannot get it out of my head, I've had little sleep and I know they have begun to worry due to my lack of eating but how can I eat when the faces of those men haunt me still?

Through the eyes of a Ranger: The Trade

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

Today I finally managed to catch Archiebald and trade the vest I had made him for the cutlery we sorely needed. He seemed happy with what I had made and now the keep has some more cutlery to spare and that of fine craft, we will not have to wait for another to finish eating before we can eat. It shall be a great relief.

Friendly Encounters

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Friendly encounters are rare for a man of the wilds.

Thorontir knew this well. For many years he would wander far to the east of Eriador as far as the Misty Mountains, vigilant of the movements of the Enemy in dark and forgotten places. Winters too cold and cruel he would find refuge among the elves of Rivendell, residing in comfort and kind company. But even during these days he would long for the hills and mountains, content in the steadfast bond of his steed and the distant companionship he found in the great eagles.

New Journal, Entry Six - The Star Rider

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

A rare stroke of fortune struck me not long ago.

New Journal, Entry Five - Tragedy Averted

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

Word reached me today that Oaksford and his band of companions have passed Lake Evendim unscathed.

I'm surprised their passing came to be without troubles for all the wicked intentions of these would-be lawmen. I do not know whether senses finally reached them or if my allies were able to dissuade them from any action before it was too late. It does not matter to me now, what I know is that peace has been maintained.

New Journal, Entry Four - Wisdom of the Elves

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

The wisdom of the elves!

I remember now why it is I so treasure this simple book, to keep a journal and speak my most private words, make bare the true extent of my feelings. Today, I feel only frustration and disappointment. I burn with anger at the injustice and negligence I have witnessed.
