~~The Ambitious Corsair~~

Part V

The Calm Before

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Eduwiges of Faldham was content. The night before was the best night’s sleep she’d had in years. The day after her excursion at the Kheledul docks, her friend Addiela introduced her to Orduin of Aldburg. Orduin had somehow left the Mark where he and his father bred and trained the Mearas for the king and became a master blacksmith in Bree-town.

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Shrieks of dread-filled women were carried on the wind when the dragon heads of the Northmen’s long ships emerged from the mist. ‘duman, buğ, duman!’ an old fisherman cried out before Sigurd kicked him in the chest, having him roll over in the muddy riverbank. Bluecrag Goblins Strike Against Noglond!

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story
((Any who frequent the road past Noglond will notice the results of recent Goblin depredations in the area. The damage is described below.)) As the traveller approaches Noglond from the west, his nostrils are assaulted by the mixed odors of burnt wood and decaying meat. Near the road, and occasionally on it, lie the corpses of recently slain animals, lynx, bears, and sundry birds, animals that were wantonly slain and thrown down on the road to rot.

Over The Falls

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

We will stand nigh and watch
On precipice high
For the day of The Fall
Whence our path
Bright with hope
Shall before us be scrawled.
On the day of The Fall
I will, with ready eyes-willing heart,
Greet my future in full.

A vision of Amroth-as seen on the last day of summer, his seventy-fourth year.

In the early dawn, three figures gazed over the heights of oblivion. Two laughed.
