The four of us encircle Gondrinn. I stand high upon a rock so I can look down into the camp. Gisuna, ever the bear, is hidden in some deep thicket.

We pulled up to the Forsaken Inn in record timing. I went inside first to make sure that Altheric and the others had left; I met them halfway out the door.

“Hail, stranger!” I called to the man who approached Ithilwe and I.

Minas Eriol was a distraction. Yes, the Company was to retrieve the half of our caravan that had been stolen; but to me, it was a distraction. To draw my blade in aimless slaughter, to strike down any goblin stood in my path, that is what I needed.

Met a fellow called Alcaron who was heading East, and offered to accompany me down the road a bit. I should mention he is an elf but not at all strange, though he definitely used some elf-magic because he could see in the dark like you would not believe.

Arrived at place called the Forsaken Inn. Very bad beer and queer folk about but many good stories to be had if you are patient. A passing Dwarf was playing Great East Road and I stopped to listen for a bit. Had to share a lot of pipeweed before folk would talk much.
