          I must set quill to page once more, for something out of the ordinary has happened - even as extraordinary things have been swirling round me in recent days.  .

          A waxing moon rode over the Bree-lands giving its soft light, more than enough for the eyes of an eagle on the wing for the hunt.  Which is precisely what the eagle named Sûlpadron, Windwalker in the Common Tongue, was doing:  he was searching for a Man at the behest of the Elf-lady, Seregrían.

          The months had been long, the leagues longer, since Captain Teahesto last set foot in the valley of Torn-en-Aduial, let alone beheld the manor named Torech Besruth, the Lair as it was called.  As he rode down the switchback trail that led to the flat greensward by the riverside, he took in the sight of the grand and elegant Elvish manor – now marked by three black spires that soared high above the gables and the roof.&nbs
