What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

The snow fell heavier than Liffey had ever seen. She had experienced hard winters before, but never one as hard as this. She felt stranded, hunting what little she could and breaking apart old furniture in the abandoned farmstead to use for the fire-pit. She hadn't been able to leave the house in a day or so, after a particularly heavy night of snowfall that left the windows hidden behind snow. She felt as if she were going mad, knowing it was daytime yet having to keep herself busy by candlelight in the darkness.

"In all me years that's the most outlandish thing I've seen" said Cobbler with a laugh. "I don't know why the lass needs armour, but I reckon that'll get the job done whatever it may be. I particularly like the helm. Very snail-like it is."

The first Journey.

The wind off the North Downs carried the scent of winter, sharp as a blade and clean as river‑ice. Elgaraen drew her cloak tighter as she guided her grey mare along the narrow trail. Though she had spent years under Argadane’s careful instruction—learning the ways of the wild, the reading of tracks, the quiet discipline of a Ranger—this was her first journey alone. Truly alone. And though she would never admit it aloud, the silence pressed on her more heavily than her pack.

The Dwarrow Ting

Calling all Dwarves to Thorin’s Hall! With Lord Dwalin’s blessing, Uzbad Frimsi of Durin’s Folk seeks to revive the ancient tradition of the Dwarrow Ting. This is a meeting in which all Dwarves active in Ered Luin are welcome to attend so as to share plans for great works and to join each other in good fellowship. Dwarves of all kinds are welcome, whether they be in a kinship or not. It is the ancient custom of the Dwarrow Ting that every Dwarf that wishes to speak shall be heard regardless of his status.

'It were a usual day, nothin' out of the ordinary were happenin'. Beannaithe were helpin' her grandfather the farmer with his garden when inspiration struck her. Beannaithe saw a snail. It were an ordinary garden variety snail. Rather than immediately chuckin' the snail in a bucket as she'd always done before, Beannaithe paused to consider the beauty of the snail's shell, its swirlin' shapes, and how it protected the slimy creature within.'

After helping his adopted elven niece Imbles with a present for the greatly respected Mr. Squirrel, Frimsi recounts to her the legend of Durin. Frimsi, having decided to play along with her delusion that she is a Dwarf, tells Imbles that this is a legend that is very important for Dwarves like themselves to remember and honour.
