Beannaithe nudged the pony's flanks with the heels of both her feet. The beast loosed a great neigh then reared up on its back legs. Beannaithe held on tightly to avoid slipping off.

The outline of a white horse may be seen on a hillside in the vale of An Abhainn Fhada ('The Long River'). It was accomplished by carving turves of grass to reveal the layer of chalk beneath.
