Two letters and many questions

Fiontann was awoken by Riston, the had was given keys to the house for the purpose of delivering and sending letters to and by Fiontann since he couldn’t walk.

-Hello mister Fiontann, I have some letters for you.

The boy held out two parchments, one clear and neat and the other dirty and wet. Fion held his right hand out and the young man gave them both to him. Fion looked at them, one was from Mornenion, the other was dirty without any names. Riston spoke when Fiontann was looking at it.

-That was just delivered at the Boar for you.

-Who brought it?

-Some stranger, he didn't show his face. Mandy isn't that well...

That made Fiontann frown and nod.

-Get some rest. You don't have to come and go in this storm.

Riston left and Fion was left alone, he unfolded the dirty and slimy parchment and read, he frowned again, even more this time. In his mind came the stone, especially that eye that was drawn at the bottom of the page, it was similar to the eye engraved on the stone. He put it down and unfolded Mornenion's letter and read it. Then looked at both letters, one held in each hand and thought hard.

This is bad.

He kept trying to remember if he had seen that symbol before or if he had heard anything about the stones before, how could that woman know about it or how she came in her possession. On the next day he had to talk to Mandy and Bil about it, who was it, what that person looked like. Many questions started to hang in his mind with no answers. He started fearing for the safety of his people at the inn, the others on the road and even at their homes. He got angry. Very angry.

Who would dare threaten my people?

His body tensed at that thought and the pain came again and he grunted. He drew a deep breath and released it in a low growl and looked at the shelf by the bed where the stone was hidden. He looked at the window. It wasn't time to do much.

I'll sleep on it and think tomorrow with a clear head. If someone tries to move against us they won't do it this fast. They'll wait to see what we do.

He put the dirty letter between the books to hide it, not wanting to distress Cedwyn further after what happened at the graveyard and laid down to sleep.
