Recent investigations have revealed that the bandits responsible for the robbery of Atgar's cookshop are part of a group known as the Greenway Knives, a band active south of Bree and rumored to prey upon trade caravans and local businesses—particularly those owned by Dwarves.

The honest avenues have been exhausted. Town officials know little, merchants offer only rumors, and the trail grows colder with each passing day. If answers are to be found, they must be sought elsewhere.

Reluctantly, Atgar turns his search toward the less reputable corners of Bree, where information is bought and sold behind closed doors, and where those who dwell in the shadows hear things long before the law ever does. Every lead may come at a price, but somewhere amidst the city's whispered dealings lies the next step toward finding the Greenway Knives.

With the aid of his companions—and no small measure of luck, sharp wits, and a willingness to tread where respectable folk seldom go—Atgar hopes the trail may yet reveal where the bandits make their lair, and where the stolen crate was taken.
