Many things happened since Katrandil became and Ornessar took separate ways, but that is another, very long story. But they met again, in the wilderness of the Trollshaws, where Katrandil had built a small refuge for her and her ranger-friends.
Ornessar was simply scouting the area when he heard Kat's voice in the distance. He approached and greeted Kat, asking if she was alright. She replied that she is alright, but they needed to leave quickly and for a long time.
They took supplies and went to the House of Ornessar's kin. Katrandil and Ornessar made their way to Lothlórien, through the fords of Isen. There, they saw the evilry of Saruman at work, but they reached Lórien unwounded. They stayed there for some time until it was time for them to take separate ways again.
Ornessar sent a mail to his family with an eagle, summoning them to aid him and the Galadhrim in the war against the darkness of Dol Guldur. Many answered the summons. They all fought for quite some time, with some heavy losses, but they won the fight. They went back to Lothlórien, but a second attack was coming, not only from Dol Guldur but from Easterlings, too. But he needed to leave and find Katrandil because he knew and felt she would be in danger - she left to aid the Rohirrim against the forces of Saruman.
In the meanwhile, she had fought in the Battle of Helm's Deep and met with the Grey Company. Ornessar, though, travelled through the Fangorn Forest and met with the Company far after the battle of Helm's Deep. They took their way in the Paths of the Dead, and after some adventures, they reached Central Gondor.
