After his council with the River-maiden, Atharan took a moment to collect his thoughts. Goldberry went outside to do the same, amongst the plants in the garden of Bombadil.
It was at that moment that the strange man known as Tom Bombadil came back!
As Atharan spoke with him, his face turned grim. Apperently much darkness had come to be in the southern parts of the woods. The spiders of Weavers den grow ever more restless and violent.

A great task lays before them to keep Buckland and Bree-land safe from the venomous spiders.

After the threat of spiders kept increasing, Atharan went out to seek council amongst those who knew the forest like no other.
The strange but kind Tom Bombadil offered his house so that Atharan could meet with the River maiden, Goldberry.
There she and him spoke for a long while on how to fend off the evil that has come from the weaver's den.
It is threatening Buckland, and all of west Bree!

Scent of the Forest

Diary

I walk beside him through the snow by day and I lie alongside him by night. We are seperate, yet in this extremity we become one thing. One hand cares for the other, as the old saying goes.

Another day's toil is done, watching my back, and now he is sleeping. The sound of Amlarad's deep breathing is as familiar to me as my own. In this small hide-covered shelter we are as close as twins in the womb. We are entwined by air. His outbreath becomes my inbreath. We pass the shuttle of breathing between each other, weaving an intangible cloth of ourselves.

I remember when I met Tom Bombadil, he was always skipiing about, and singing.

the end of baby-season

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

Baby-season slows and my pack is lighter. The mothers and their newborns have exhausted most of my herbs and simples. I like the new life coming into the world bringing a wriggling, slippery hope. Yet  there comes a time, when my work is done, that I long to turn my back on the crowded little town, its noises and squabbles and pervading smell.
