The Bancross Mystery: Walking to the Market.

(This tale happens on the way to the market described by Duncadda in his tale The Bancross Mystery: Problems and Pains. )

The Bancross Mystery: Problems and Plans

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story
The farm is a cold and silent place for the moment, but still there is a sense of tranquility here promising better days to come. The pantry is filled to the rim with grain, salted meat and several barrels of my own dark mead. More than enough to take me through the rest of the winter and some of my neighbours, if needed. Returning back home to Bancross, after months of hardship within the Dunland borders is a blessing. I have met my old friends again and even managed to get a few new ones as well.

Too Much Mead

One night at the Bancross market, the loo line had suddenly grown to epic proportions... even the dog needed to go!

Perhaps they all had too much mead to drink that night, or something rotten had been served. Noone will ever know, except the poor bastard on latrine duty.

Woe!

A Different Way of Training?

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

A few days after my visit to Northgyth concerning the apothecary, a letter was delivered to our door. My reading was progressing so that I could clearly see it was addressed to Waelden. Of course it would be, as most folk thought I had no written words at all.

No Place Like Home : Part Three.

The following morning we were at Northgyth’s door as soon as could be considered polite. Ymma answered, and ushered us in. Waelden had written a letter explaining we wanted the house, and had sufficient coin in place to make the purchase as soon as Erbrand’s grandson wished. He was ready to ride back into Edoras immediately, if Northgyth would provide an address.

Talking with Northgyth

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

It was late in the afternoon when I tidied my hair, dusted off my dress, and walked over to pay Northgyth a visit. Ymma opened the door to me, and ushered me in as a welcome visitor.

“Have you come for something, Yllfa, or do you want…”

There's no Place like Home.

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Although I was happy travelling on occasions, I was not a wanderer at heart. I had dwelt in two homes only. Until I was fourteen my family had all lived in the farmhouse, northwest of Edoras. Then I had lived just outside Harwick with my parents, and my father alone, after my mother had died.  There was the year at Forlaw, which strangely enough had always seemed home to me, far more than Harwick ever had. There were the months in Stangard, which I wish had never occurred.
