Outward Appearance

Tall, standing near six foot five, strong of arm, though not overly heavy. She looks like someone you would not want to cross. She can be outspoken, even to the extent of crossing Danel .

Filignil has long, smooth dark brown hair, usually swept in an updo for work and hunting. She will adorn it on occasions with a silver circlet featuring a figure of a small bird of prey, or with white flowers. Her eyes are blue-grey of colour, piercing and cold, under winged brows, though she can switch her moods with some alacrity. When displeased she tends to suck in her cheeks, and give an appearance she has been sucking lemons. Otherwise she is fair of face.

Choosing darker and plainer robes for her work, she can wear bright colours at functions or festivities, and often small pieces of jewellry with the image of a bird of prey.  She can also occasionally wear a broach that is a token of the people of Celegorm.

She speaks Quenya when given opportunity, but out of courtesy usually speaks Sindarin in any group of folk. She understands Westron, but rarely uses it.

Background

Born in the second yeni of the First Age, Filignil, her sisters and parents travelled with the folk of Prince Celegorm, and settled where he did. All served him as Hunters or Archers at some time or other. All were loyal to the end, though privately Filignil had questions concerning her Prince and his brother Curufin. She did not approve of Celegorm's pursual of Luthien, considering her not worthy of him.

Filignil was to loose her youngest sister in the Battle of Unnumbered Tears. She lost  her betrothed and much of her mind in the Second Kinslaying. What was left of her stood in the War of Wrath.

And then, along with a few friends who remained, she sought the Realm of Gil Galad. Filignil has mostly remained in Forlindon, while her sister moved on to Imladris. They both began a new way of supporting the Lords and Ladies of the Noldor. That has never changed, though her 'weapons' now are support rather than attack.

Filignil seems happy in her latest position, able to honour those who sought her employment, and the other servants of the House. She has some issue with Estarfin's inability to be tidy, though generally respects him. Strangely she has struck up a rather good natured friendship with Parnard, who seems to bring out the best in her.
