While my journey began some time ago, I only bought this journal today, hence this is my first entry.

As such, it will be begin with a summary of some things that happened before this day.

Elewaru was raised by her uncle, in Rohan, as she lost her parents at a young age.

Her uncle was a soldier, who knew little about how to raise a child, let alone a girl.

This lead to her feeling lost, growing up, and even more so after her uncle died in battle, not long after she came of age.

She knew not how best to serve her king and country, or even how to maintain the house her uncle had left behind. So, she sold the house and used the money as a travel fund, as she set out on a journey in search for purpose and identity.

Spring is here the breeze lately, is warm and pleasant, flowing freely through the mountains.  I am not alone anymore. It feels strange, the term, 'friendship' so foreign to me. As are the ways of the West. Do not take this for a complaint diary. These are just observations. Observations of my heart and soul. Words are so difficult when they pass through my lips. Writing is a gift for the voiceless. I am, still, uncomfortable when I try to talk.

Oft does an ellon in love request to be taught how to dance, and Branalph of the Hammer is, indeed, an ellon in love, as he has but recently admitted to himself. Lady Manadhlaer thus attempts to instruct him. Ai! A quick glance at the face of the brave warrior reveals that her attempts are merely baffling. Perhaps this is a job for a greater expert in the art, and Lady Ealendil must be called in.
