Background
The Northern Watch, fully known as the Order of the Northern Sceptre of Annúminas, is a Gondorian military order founded in Minas Tirith shortly after the War of the Ring in TA 3019.
Their arms depict a white seven pointed star on a black and blue field.
Following the defeat of Sauron and the Coronation of King Elessar Telcontar, the Order was formed by Lord Orelon Herevorn with the task of reclaiming the Arnorian city of Annúminas in the name of the King. This would begin a long campaign through Eriador, contacting the Dúnedain who remained in the North and repelling raiders from the Enemy stronghold of Angmar. After much hardship, the Angmarim garrison was defeated and Annúminas was reclaimed.
Following the Reclaimation of Annúminas, the Order found new purpose in Eriador; to ensure the King’s peace endured, as well as acting as the first line of defence against Angmar, one of the last enclaves of the Enemy.
The Order is currently lead by Lord Moralphon Helcharon (Thandanar), a Knight of Gondor who joined the Order whilst also venturing through Eriador.
