Searching for the Ship of the Last King
With the aid of a group of Lumi-väki guides led by Kaleva, Thandanar began his expedition to seek out the ship that carried King Arvedui of Arthedain on his fateful voyage. It was well-known that he did indeed spend time with the Lumi-väki, for Arvedui entrusted them with the Ring of Barahir prior to his voyage.
Though the thought of the ship not being at the bottom of the freezing waters seemed unlikely, for Arvedui perished well over one thousand years ago, hope was sparked at the mention of a "great monster from the sea" sitting atop the ice near the shores on the western side of the bay. It is with this rumour, that Thandanar began his expedition, accompanied by Aelwynna, Aethelhard and Breolis.
Over the tundra they travelled, passing markers of the Susi-väki, the wolf-people, ... and there it was.
Cradled upon the ice, shattered into pieces by time and the elements, was the unmistakable hull of a ship. Was this even Arvedui's ship? It was impossible to tell... and thus required a closer look.
