Elves

Unlike the regions surrounding it, Rivendell appeared to have been sheltered from the darkness out of Angmar. As the Company entered into the valley, they found the biting cold of the harsh winter subsiding the further they descended down the path. When they reached the bottom, there was but a thin sprinkling of snow upon the ground. No trace of ice could be seen within the flowing streams or the majestic waterfalls which fed them.

The Elves were on the road once more the day following their performance in the Elfking's Halls. Thorlind again proved to be an excellent guide. Thankfully, the way was far easier on the eastern leg of their journey through the Greenwood.

Thorlind brought the guests from the Golden Wood to King Thranduil. The Elf-king stood from his throne to greet them.

When the musicians of Laurië Lassi arrived at the Forest Gate north and east of Beorn's Hall they were disappointed to find that their guide was not there to meet them as had been arranged.
