Thandind - A Day in the Life

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Two Elves sat perched upon a high branch. Garbed in grey cloaks, they would appear like two rock-pigeons of extraordinary size. If one had any hope of seeing them, that is, for they were March-wardens of the Forest, soldiers of the White Lady and the Wise Lord, and none could mark their passing - or perching - lest they wished for it. From here they could survey all who walked or crawled or slithered upon the forest floor that was their duty to watch.

Dear Journal,

I write this entry on several pages of parchment and a half used pencil I managed to barter off of the barkeep here in the Forsaken Inn. He's a rather grim fellow, but so are most in this rather dire establishment. You would think a folk so serious and stern would've had the common sense to patch up the gaping hole in the roof! Ah, but it's no matter. I suppose they'll warm up to me and my clever wit in no time at all.

Rough Rumble

Had a tussle with some overly sensitive lad who seemed to think calling over a barmaid to place an order was some grand slight against her maidenly honor or some crock! Has he never had to call up one of Barli's staff over the din of the music and talk between folk? What a fool.

Slightly Less Convalescent

Being in so much pain except when she was willing to admit the need for the salve was probably not a good thing. Fang was definitely letting her know that he didn't think she was being sensible. But she hated seeing the reaction on her wife's face and in her body language about how its numbing effect felt on her hands.

Months have passed like days, yet I finally am able to take a break from my trading…

Sitting here near the fire reminds me of a couple of months back, indeed my journey with Orduin did commence to Celondim. However, I first traveled to The Shire with Cesistya. I hold her guidance, wisdom and kindness in such high regard I hope she knows this.

The wedding of Lumina and Leoffrith

Story

Leoffrith is trying not to pace. The ruins, kind of lonely and noble in their austerity, let in the sunshine of a lovely day, but there's no decorations beyond the stones; all the celebration is to happen elsewhere, after the ceremony. Leoffrith fidgets in his gold-bedecked tunic.
Taite hobbles over the sunlit grass, smiling as the weather whispers of coming spring. Demurely holding up the front of her skirt a little, she pauses when she sees Leoffrith, then nods in relief when he invites her in.

Why do I constantly find myself wanting to write for no one to read?

I cannot be sure.

Perhaps it is because I simply cannot share my true thoughts with anyone? Or perhaps, if I have failed, someone may find this and say a little pray for me? Regardless, my mind runs fierce in the quiet of the woods and I am tired from no sleep.

For so long, all Amanda has wanted was to be loved, to have an actual family, a real father, a permanent home... For so long she's looked to Kristophor as a teacher, a mentor, but also her father, she's looked to Cesistya as a teacher, a friend, but also her family...

Dec. 14

I’ve been neglecting my journal in favor of being holed up at home! Something about the cold weather makes me wish to do nothing by stay by the fire and tinker or read. O, my poor eyes, I strain them so. Working on the hand, working on the  thing, working on other writings, working on painting. Yes, I impulsively bought much paint and canvas and have been making a horrible mess — but I’ve been having fun.
