Thendryt

A Bitter Berry

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Next morning I returned to the Hall of Fire and met with a very hearty welcome. Sogadan had reserved some cake from the previous night's table, and he observed it would be more plentiful had I visited him sooner, but I did my duty to what was left.

A Fight Within - Warband of Imladris

Story

Thendryt wiped the blood off his face. He stood and gazed for a moment, in the middle of the battlefield. They were outnumbered, but not outmatched. Not at all.
Khalis was in the middle of close combat a distance away from him. So was Lilleduil, an equal distance in the other direction.

A Report to Tur Elisbeth

Story

(Left on Tur Elisbeth’s desk)

Tur Elisbeth-

Having heard rumor in the Hall of Fire of some gigantic beast haunting the northern passes of the Hithaeglir, Thendryt Morson and I ventured out to see if there was any truth in the rumor.  A Man in the Hall of Fire had declared that he would hunt the creature to repay the hospitality he’d been given at Imladris.  Knowing the nature of the creatures in the Hithaeglir, Thendryt and I were also keeping an eye out for the Man’s body, which we did not discover.

A Letter to Faorie

Story

(Written in a somewhat spiky, spidery, yet nonetheless legible hand)

Faorie,

I hope this letter finds you well-I hope it finds you at all! If it does, please tell Forostel that I gathered all the herbs on her list.  Since gathering is my strong suit and not processing, I put them into the hands of the healers of the House, who promised they would be properly prepared for distilling and set aside for the Warband’s use, so that she might deal with them upon her return.

What were they doing here? What was he doing here? He didn’t belong to the south, he belonged to the north. Towards Angmar. Thendryt didn’t understand. The real threat was to the north, not here in Dunland.
“Problem, Thendryt?” Khalis asked. They had been following the river southwards for days, yet there had been no sign of activity.
“No.” Thendryt replied. “That’s the issue. There’s no problem.”
“What do you mean?” Khalis asked.

Mending Wounds

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Dusk was falling.  Lilleduil, refreshed by her swim, found herself in good enough humor to attempt to deal with the Man again.  She found him out by the gate of Maur Tulhau, sitting with his back against a rock and looking, if not exactly weary, disgruntled at the whole world.  Which seemed to be his default expression most of the time, when she thought upon it.

Giving him a look of carefully metered inquiry, she said, “Thendryt, I know you're not here to freshen up, but you ought to, and let me re-dress those wounds.”

“As you requested, Elisbeth.” Khalis said as he dismounted. The ride to Echad Dagoras had gone smoothly, even for Thendryt. Then again, his wounds were healing nicely and they weren’t severe. Bovad had appreciated the ride, he could tell. Poor horse had been in a stable for far too long.
“And how did you come to this place?” Elisbeth asked.
“On horses, Elisbeth.” Khalis replied. Thendryt tried, very hard, not to laugh out loud at that remark. Elisbeth did not look amused.

A Fight Within - Divided We Fall

”Are you awake yet?”
He was, but he did not feel like getting out of the bedroll. Khalis looked down on him, seemingly suspicious.
“Perhaps I have to speak louder…” Khalis leaned in. “ARE YOU AWAKE YET?”
Thendryt frowned as he opened one eye.
“I see that you are, good.” Khalis said and stood back up. Caleniel’s head popped up behind the Captain. Thendryt saw her and made a poor effort to wave.
