The Bloody Dawn

Misty Mountains Bound: Hall of Fire

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

I awoke more rested today than I ever have, this land must have some kind of power over it. Elven magic no doubt, though if it helps me sleep without my usual dreams I welcome it. I met with the Grey Warden on the bridge by the last homely house, he was deep in thought and holding a locket. I assume it to be an heirloom from a lost love much like the wedding band I carry to remember my late wife Maethorwen. We shared little conversation but enjoyed the view of the falls of Imladris, Brammy later joined us.

Entry Five: Hall of Fire

One rested well for the first time in a while. The peace and tranquillity within the borders of Imladris would succumb to any feared warrior, turning them into lovable beings. The Bloody Dawn where a fine example. Within their home of Bree, they would appear somewhat vicious and cutthroat more often than not. But in Imladris... they would appear humble and kind amongst the Elves.

Rivendell and memories

Today we reached Rivendell. Each time I enter its gates a feeling of fullness and bliss fills me, and this time it was no different. After we made ourselves comfortable I strolled around and many thoughts and memories filled my mind, thoughts of older times and thoughts of friends.

I awoke early and went to hunt for breakfast. After a short search I found a rabbit warren and caught a fair number of them by employing an old trick I made. I set snares at the all but one of the entrances to the warren then set a fire at the last one, the rabbit's flee the smoke and practically catch themselves!

One and the Company finally arrived to Imladris, led by its Warband's Captain, Khalis. The sight would never cease to amaze one, no matter how many times he has came and gone.

On the steeps of the Bruinen Gorges, one would speak with Taala of memories past. This would be the first time he had ever seen a calming side of Hardoleth's Daughter.

Assembling and starting the trip

Story

Some hours have passed after the sun has come out and the first echoes of steps sounded around Towerglan. Dawners were assembling at the Dawnhall, those that were going to leave and those that were going to stay behind. Chaney said goodbye to Fiontann, Catilyn to Ralyn, Lucifen was eager to go and Rogue was smoking his pipe merrily. Silently, as always, the Grey Warden appeared in the yard. After the private goodbyes they all gathered around, Brammy came, and Taala followed by Rick made their way towards the group of people that was now getting bigger.

So, the company has set off at last. Brammy found himself at ease within the column of riders as the green lands of Bree rolled by, gradually turning to the harsher colours of the lands known as the Lone-lands. By now they had made it to the beautiful Bruinen Gorges, where they had set up camp. He had warmed to the Dawners, as they called themselves, more than he had ever done to the Blackwolds.

Misty Mountains Bound: The First Day

Though it was the view of many that I had arrived late to our venture when I finally caught up to the company at the Last Bridge I would dare to say that I arrived just on time. No sooner had we crossed the bridge and entered the Trollshaws than a party of orcs ambushed us and began an assault, though their numbers were greater than our own we felled many of them and received few injuries of our own. It was curious though, when they broke off in retreat they tried to run passed us and into the Lone-Lands.
