Assembling and starting the trip

Some hours have passed after the sun has come out and the first echoes of steps sounded around Towerglan. Dawners were assembling at the Dawnhall, those that were going to leave and those that were going to stay behind. Chaney said goodbye to Fiontann, Catilyn to Ralyn, Lucifen was eager to go and Rogue was smoking his pipe merrily. Silently, as always, the Grey Warden appeared in the yard. After the private goodbyes they all gathered around, Brammy came, and Taala followed by Rick made their way towards the group of people that was now getting bigger. Basaran came to wave a goodbye also, with the usual smile on his face, sure that the campaign will succeed. Vendrith made his appearance, merry and friendly as always. Dataak  jumped off Ella in a good humor and eager to talk with everyone, and then came Teleyn, sneaking up behind the Grey Warden. Ostergo remained silent the whole time, immersed in his writing, some steps far from the others.

After the goodbyes were said, along with some words about the campaign, the company set forth, their laughter could be heard as they made their way out of Toweglan. Everyone was happy and eager to go, maybe trying to cover the possibility of not returning from that trip. The ride through Chetwood was pleasant and easy, the air was light and warm from the sun. the only sound apart from their voices was from the hooves of the horses as they marched, some birds could be heard from around and slowly they left Bree-land behind.

Now the desert of the Lone-lands was spreading before them, as the sun was falling hard on the land on the company. Two of them were sent forth to scout ahead for any threats, luckily the way was empty and everything went on quiet. The talk have ceased a little as the usual feeling of uneasiness filled everyone, but it didn't manage to break them. The hot torrent of air made the feeling worse and slowly the talk ceased for good. Now only some howls could be heard from all around and as they passed from Talath Gaun some piercing shrieks were heard, making the blood run cold. The usual stench of the red marshes was filling the air, making the horses trot faster, away from it. Fiontann was looking around, making sure that there was nothing threatening, and Aingen was flying above them doing the same. It was too peaceful to feel safe...

And there it came... After passing the Last Bridge orcs jumped out of the rocks, ambushing the company, obviously they waited for them to feel safe to do it. The men stood on their ground and dropped them dead, coloring the road with their blood and limbs. Leorthir arrived in time to fill them with arrows, offering them to the orcs graciously. After the fight they set up a camp far from the road to rest. It was pleasant now, the air was chilly and the moon shed light all around, its light was amplified by its reflection on the water and the stars were dancing above the forest. And at that moment a voice was heard, Deorgast... Late, which meant that he was going to get the second watch after Leorthir. Luckily for them the dawn came fast and the company made its way ahead. They got to the Bruinen Gorges and made one more stop before reaching Rivendel. They set up camp on a high ground to be able to overlook the area and hunted a boar to eat. Slowly the moon came up again and the last talks faded as one by one they went to sleep, wrapped in their cloaks and bedrolls...
