Calling Breeze (Song)

Calling Breeze (Click to Listen)

That feeling niggled at him every time he sat still for too long. He'd been in Breeland for weeks, he needed to move. The green colt from Rohan, Boltin, and his impolite prancing while being ridden illustrated the feeling perfectly. A restlessness, not frustrated but beckoning. Yearning. Bittersweet for what he had discovered, standing still for so long. New company was made, closeness forged. But still he had to go. The horse understood better than the people did.

Difficult and easy changes had come his way. Some opportunities were missed and others taken. A few people and events had sunk in fangs venom-filled, or sweet and sad as a last breath. Everything mattered right now, even the small things most took for granted. Mattering didn't mean they needed to be complicated.

Knife Juggler (Song)

Knife Juggler (Click to listen)

Ryheric composed this piece after convincing Loakee to juggle his knives outside the Prancing Pony in front of a small crowd. Loakee impressed the audience not only by juggling knives, but also balancing along a narrow wooden beam, leaving a few of the characters nerve wracked, but ultimately entertained at Loakee's showmanship.

His lute was silent for a few days. But finally, after the sunrise seen and shared, he took to the instrument the following day, and played what sad, almost strained tune he could for the ill fated meeting with the Bree girl and the dull pain in its wake. An unusually dour mood had taken him, for the time leading towards the music that finally came.

Supposedly unmasked, a few answers came, and the light grew to reveal "The best view in Breeland". After what had happened with Lav, he felt better - or at least his mind could rest from it for a while.

Ryheric was surprised to see Catalinna so tolerant about a thieved seat and the compromising position the newcomer had put her into. He and "Greggo" looked on. He found himself enjoying Greggo's company, surprised the boy had a wit and was keen to play along with a few good natured shenanigans. But eventually Catalinna had her way with the bench. The newcomer disappeared to the bar - and returned with drinks only for himself, refusing to sit at the table again for some time. Ryheric felt some pity, and pried when Loakee finally sat again.

The fire had burnt down to ash and cooled in the time they had been talking. The horses grazed nearby. Dice were taken out and, properly illustrating the peace of the surroundings, a game was had to pass the time while they rested before their next travels.

The fight had been sudden, the meeting beforehand unexpected. She was brave after the fight, but shaken, though she had fought well. He took her away and they climbed, the area while pristine and beautiful was peppered with orc camps they both knew shouldn't be there. But once upon the rocks in a brief moment of reprieve before they had to keep moving, he took a hold of her chin and met her eyes.

Green Eyes (Click to listen)

A song oft on his lips and heard escaping the lute strings. But who the green eyed muse is, or why he sings of her remains a bittersweet mystery.

"Hide and seek soul windows

Hide and seek green eyes

Blooming like a garden

Viridian night

Darken in the shade

Meadows in the light

Blooming like a garden

Hide and seek green eyes

Hunting by the water

Where the willow grows

Has it been so long?
