In the late days of the First Age, Ainurél of Doriath, a broidress and weaver, was wed to Silwë of Valinor, a commander of the Noldorin military, and reputedly a master jewelsmith. This choice was unpopular m, and they were wed in solitude, speaking their vows to each other and the Valar on the sandy shore of the Gulf of Lhûn.

During the dreaded War of Wrath, yet to marry lovers Orotasarin and Mythrenniel dreampt of settling down in Ossiriand together and raising a family. They promised each other to tie to this fate, if they both survived.

 

In the early Second Age, Orotasarin put his crafting skills to use for building up the elven kingdom of Lindon, founded upon Ossiriand soil. His most happy projects involved building the countryside home he and his newly wedded wife had always wanted...

The night air bit my skin. Winds caressed me, blowing my blonde hair in my face. The stars sparkled like Noldorin jewels as I darted through the field. I had snuck out. I had waited for my parents to fall asleep, then I slipped from the house, and from town, to explore. Ah, yes, the wind ruffled my nightgown. I pulled it up, my bare ankles getting stained by the tall grasses. I ran, laughter filling the meadows as I tasted freedom.
