Bainiel is the daughter of Cutch Crane and the Lady Seregrían, and sister to Ardanion - the first children of House Bar-en-Acharn.  As such, she regards the Household as a vast extended family whom everyone is either "Auntie" or "Uncle", though she reverently refers to Hartagil (her mother's sister) as "Aunt", and the enigmatic Elf-woman Lumenire (her twice-great aunt on her father's side) as "Grandmama".

Bainiel has been raised in the Elvish tradition, under the stern and strict tutelage of her mother's watchful eye; though she has also learned much of the wider world from her father, who secretly arranged her striking out on her own.  Faring forth on her own adventures has caused tensions between mother and daughter, which has yet to come to a full head.

Bainiel can be found almost anywhere that adventure and new vistas can be found:  Breeland, the North Downs, and most recently in the company of the Dwarves of Khazad-dûm.  Where her next adventures shall take her, even she does not know - and that's part of the adventure!
