When will I see him again?

The last I saw him, we were prisoners in the hidden house of Lady Zairaphel in Angmar. We had been brought there through a long and arduous journey, and delivered, bound, by the remaining few brigands and the two Umbari. I thanked the Valar for the later. Had they not been with us we would have been in a far worse condition.

Strangely, Zairaphel had us sit at a table and partake of a feast she had her Dwarf servant prepare. We could do little more than exchange glances with each other. No word could be spoken unheard by her. No sign given.

And then, the Dwarf dragged Parnard away. I heard some shouts, angry frustrated shouts. Then I too was taken away to a basement room, to be made presentable to that Lady's tastes.

I have not seen him since.

I know he has been taken South by her. That she fawns over him like a simpering maid, which she most certainly is not. She was expecting Naraal and a few of her nephew's Men to arrive for me and Gaisarix, but Parnard she had taken with her.

As we rode away from the burnt out wreck of the house, I finally felt safe. Yet I could not help wonder if I could have done more to keep my 'cousin' safe? I could not help wonder when, but not if, I would see him again?
