A well-spent afternoon

It started off most pleasantly. Esterfin had rode at dawn to the coast, so great was his wish to see the Sea again. He returned around midday, with some ham and cheeses from the market, and an exceptionally good bottle of wine. It was one of those rare bottles that could put the best Dorwinnion to shame. Proud was he to share it with Parnard and I.

Parnard grew excited by thoughts of the Sea. He wanted to visit as soon as possible. Both Estarfin and I grew wary at the idea. I spoke of dangers that a wood elf may well be unaware of, and of the changing moods of the sea. Estarfin implied something worse. We spoke briefly in Quenya, hoping not to seem rude.

"I fear for him should the sea longing take hold."

In the end we all decided to sit by the small lake, near the house, and share food and wine, and then relax in each other's company. That was the hope.
