And then....

We dismounted, leaving our horses in the care of a stable master I did not recognise. He told me Master Lelyar and (my steward) had appointed him a little over two years past, and that he was proud to serve. Lelyar and his wife, it seemed, had gone into Mithlond for supplies and were not expected back for a week or two. But there was food in the pantry and wine in the cellar,

I would make time to know all servants of my House, but Estarfin and I needed a little  rest and refreshment first, I felt.

So we went in the house. Still in a slight state of disarray it was, for the move from Tum Escale had only been completed recently.

Estarfin took a look, and went back to stand outside in the warming afternoon light, then I heard him call. And there he was....Parnard!

Parnard, who we had searched for in Mirkwood, stood before us, beaming with happiness.

I was overjoyed, and I knew Estarfin was most certainly like minded in this, even if he was more surprised, and showed it not.  He said "We searched for you, Parnard. Where have you been?"

"In the market." Parnard replied, with a happy grin.

It was not long before we were all partaking of the wine, and listening to Parnard's tale about a man and some fish.
