In the early spring, Grandmaster Belenir of the Hand of Númenor was invited to our Kinhalls in Vendóm, seeking an audience with Hearth-lady Omali Whitebeard, Kurdubad of the Blue Mountains Regiment, on the matters of an alliance.

Our guests were met with a display of military precision. An honour guard led by the proud Captain Rodtranorn escorted them to the grounds of the main Hall, whereupon a ceremonial parade and guard-change was held.

Flanked by Shield-Bearers, Lady Omali welcomed our guests and guided them toward the entrance of the Hall, where they were greeted by the pipes of our finest minstrels, rivers of ale, and a grand feast that was being held in their honour.
Much discussion was had on the details of the alliance over dinner. It was military aid they sought most, however there was talk also of the reconstruction of trade roads for ease of transport.
A handsome tribute of mithril was promised to our kinsfolk as a gesture of good faith, as well as the return of dwarven artifacts found in enemy possession.
Come the end of the meal and with the larder nearly spent, our gracious guest and ally Belenir rose to make a speech and an official offer of alliance. With the blessings of her council of dwarves, Lady Omali agreed to the terms of the alliance.
Witnessed by Lady Snjorblom, Captain Thonin, and Belenir's companion Azgarzr, Grandmaster Belenir and Lady Omali signed the contract before the eyes of Durin.
I am proud to report the audience a great success.
