The sounds of war faded. What Angmarim and Orcs remained fled the battle, discarding their green and red banners and fell weapons or were cut down by the Gondorians and Dúnedain.
The darkness and the cold seemed to stay endlessly with the ranger. Once per a while she kept hearing people around or feeling stuff around. She did recognize Thandanar, Belenir and Aelwynna talking near her, but couldn't make out anything out of it. For some reason she did feel that this was not yet the end for her. She had another battle to go through. The wound was her last concern, if not for the events happening in Forochel she would still be up on her feet. She kept fighting it, to keep her live and fulfill her mission and destiny.
While being on my way towards Gondor, I have met my family's friend, Captain Nethillon Thanduil who has been through much with my mother during the war. He advised me against travelling to Gondor and instead coming to my allies' aid before he and his party left the camp. After thinking much of it, I took his advice to my heart and turned around. Yet I had no idea where my allies might be now. I found Nethillon's trail and followed it all the way back to Evendim and then towards the High King's Crossing. That was where I found him and the company again.
As we rested well during the time that we were given, I stood upon the stone bridge overlooking the river in silence. All I had on my mind was my wife and my friend. I was worried to never talk to either of them again and yet longing so much to see both. I spotted some of the other gathering up and it seemed up that we had another task incoming. That was when I spotted a familiar figure, that I thought has left these lands already. Faethuil, son of Forngarmo. My dear friend I was thinking about so much. I was glad that he decided to come back and do what was right for once.
I moved around the land, with my older brother beside me, keeping the other soldiers in the distance. "I told you, we shouldn't stop too much as it will delay us." Forchuil then said towards me as I pretended not to hear him. I was more focused on the fact that my wife was gone for so long and yet I has been sent out here as a reinforcement. The only one good thing about that fact was a possible reunion with my ranger friend.
The ranger managed to recover enough to stay awake but the chill never left her body. She laid by the fire, using each moment of rest that she was given before there would be a need of her once again. She closed her eyes only to open them with haste as she heard a group of people gathering nearby. She stood up, recognizing the others she joined before. Forngarmo quickly joined the group but did not behave like her usual self. There was much off about her since the return from the North. People kept greeting themselves and soon, they did greet her too.
Faethuil meets his mother, Forngarmo along with Belenir, Thandanar and Aelwynna from Hand of Numenor Order.
Faethuil was watching a small gathering up at the campsite when he had returned to Evendim. He did not recognize any of those present, apart of his mother, who stood out in the crowd regardless of her face not being visible. He would recognize her anywhere. Young ranger has promised her not to disturb in internal matters but he could not stay away when possibly his mother's injury was mentioned.
