Taking Rest at Echad Eregion

I arrived at Echad Eregion shortly before nightfall. My horse stabled, watered and fed, I sat to the outside of the group assembled around the fire. Some I recognised, some were new to me. Two Dwarves there were, polite enough as is common for their folk, they offered me a share of their meal.

"Go on, lass. Dried roast has to be better than Lembas."

They chuckled in a well meaning way, and I offered them some Lembas in turn. We exchanged a little of our supplies with half-smiles, the Dwarves likely thinking their kindness had rewarded them ill.

Some of the guards, and a green cloaked elven traveller, shot them a glance.

"Good to see you again, Lady Danel" A familiar face entered the ruin and addressed me. "Do you journey alone?" he looked around the small camp. "To Imladris now?"

I shook my head, not responding to his first question. "I will rest here for a day or two, then may head to Gwingris. I will possibly go on to Imladris after that, Dornhador."

He looked thoughtful.

'May, 'Possibly'? Why were my answers so indecisive when I knew full well where I was heading. I just wanted a day or two more to ponder my forthcoming words to him.
